Standard monthly horse care includes:                                                      
Feed 2 times daily (10% Pellet & beet pulp / up to 1 scoop each per feeding)
- Strongid daily wormer included in feeding
- Additional supplements added to feed as requested (owner provides supplements)

  • Hay (Coastal Bermuda) up to 1/4 bale daily with pasturing
    - Additional hay as needed in poor weather
    - Owner may provide other type of hay at their own cost
  • Stall cleaned morning and evening
  • Bedding 4“ shavings plentiful and as required
    - One wheelbarrow load replaced with each cleaning
  • Horses are kept in the stall daily with either AM or PM turnout
    - Brought in during excessive heat, cold or storms
    - Turn out with no more than 3 other horses
    - Summer turnout with fly mask
  • One water bucket filled as needed and emptied daily with each stall cleaning
  • Stall walls and feed bin cleaned / disinfected semi-annually
  • Blanketing for winter – changed once daily (Single Blanket)
  • Owners are expected to accompany their horse for vet and farrier
  • Horses are monitored for general health, injuries and signs of pending illness
  • Individual storage cabinets provided in tack room

Extras

  • Bell boots / Splint boots - $10 / Month
     
  • Hay / Feed Other than standard (Handling / Storing fee) - $ 30 / Month
  • Additional feedings (Lunch) - $30 / Month
  • Heavy weight to light weight blankets changed as necessary - $30 / Month
    - Fly sheets / Sheets (Clipped horse)
  • Attend to horse for farrier - $5 / Shoeing or Trim
